2027: Agulanna Declares for Aboh Mbaise/Ngor Okpala Reps Seat Under ADC

Engineer Dr. Albert Chibuzor Agulanna has formally declared his intention to contest for the Aboh Mbaise/Ngor Okpala Federal Constituency seat in the 2027 general elections under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), signalling early political realignments ahead of the polls.
Agulanna made the declaration during separate engagements in Ngor Okpala and Aboh Mbaise Local Government Areas, where he was received by party leaders, stakeholders, and members of the ADC Youth Vanguard in Imo State.
At Ngor Okpala, the first leg of the declaration took place in the hometown of Jude Njoku, drawing a large turnout of party faithful, including the ADC Local Government Chairman, Sir Emeka Amajirionwu, ward chairmen, and their executives.
Speaking at the event, party leaders welcomed Agulanna’s ambition, commending his consistent support for the party and expressing optimism about his chances. They described his entry into the race as a boost to the party’s grassroots strength in the constituency.
In his address, Agulanna thanked the party leadership for their unwavering support over the years, recalling his previous political battles. He noted that despite facing intense opposition, legal challenges, and internal party pressures during the last election cycle when he was in another party, he remained resolute and successfully secured a place on the ballot.
He reaffirmed his readiness to re-enter the contest, assuring supporters that his experience has better prepared him for the task ahead.
“This time, the journey will be smoother. I am more experienced, more focused, and better equipped to serve the people,” he said.
The declaration train moved to Aboh Mbaise, where the second event was held at the residence of the ADC Local Government Chairman, Chief Egbuele Jonathan, popularly known as “Bullet.” The gathering attracted party executives, leaders, and ward structures across the area.
Welcoming Agulanna and his team, Chief Egbuele assured aspirants of a level playing field, pledging that the party would conduct free, fair, and credible primaries. Other stakeholders who spoke at the event described Agulanna as a “servant leader” with a track record of community development and capacity to deliver effective representation.
Addressing the crowd, Agulanna reiterated his commitment to grassroots development, promising to consolidate on his contributions as a private individual if given the mandate to serve.
“I urge you to verify my track record. What I have done before now is just a foundation. With this opportunity, I will attract more meaningful and sustainable development to our constituency,” he stated.
He also appreciated party members for their turnout and support, pledging to remain committed to the growth and activities of the ADC in the constituency.
Agulanna’s declaration adds to the growing list of aspirants positioning themselves for the 2027 elections in Imo State, particularly in the politically strategic Aboh Mbaise/Ngor Okpala Federal Constituency, where early mobilization and grassroots engagement are already shaping the contest.
