The All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial Candidate for Imo East (Owerri Zone), Prince Alex Mbata, has expressed confidence that the APC will record a landslide victory in the forthcoming election, declaring that the party is on course to secure more than 90 per cent of the votes in Imo State.
Mbata made the assertion while speaking with journalists, maintaining that his previous participation in the senatorial race has adequately prepared him for the upcoming election.
“I have always been prepared. I was here during the last election, and that tells you I am prepared for this election,” he said.
The APC candidate described Imo as a stronghold of the ruling party, expressing optimism that the electorate would once again give the APC overwhelming support.
“Imo State is a one-party state. This state is APC. We expect more than 90 per cent of the votes because the people believe in the APC,” he stated.
Mbata also commended Governor Hope Uzodimma for what he described as his remarkable leadership and developmental strides across the state. He praised the governor’s commitment to infrastructure, economic growth, and good governance, noting that his achievements have strengthened the confidence of the people in the APC-led administration.
Addressing the people of Owerri Zone, Mbata assured them of purposeful representation if elected, promising a new chapter of development and progress for the senatorial district.
“My message to the people of Owerri Zone is to wait for me. It is a new dawn and a new season for Owerri Zone,” he declared.
He reiterated his commitment to providing quality representation, supporting the developmental vision of Governor Uzodimma, and working for the overall progress of Owerri Zone and Imo State. He also urged the electorate to remain steadfast in their support for the APC in the forthcoming election.
