Kaduru commends Uzodimma healthcare Prioritization

It was reminiscent of a royal reception yesterday, Sunday, June 29,2025,as Ngor Okpala born globally renown public health expert, and philanthropist, Dr Chijioke Kaduru, arrived to a rousing reception from a mammoth crowd of APC members at the Sam Mbakwe International Cargo Airport, Owerri, Imo State.
The jubilant party faithfuls drawn from different political wards and local government areas in Owerri Zone, had converged at the airport to welcome the man who had touched them in one way or the other through his humanitarian foundation Nkwachikwere Foundation back home, after a fruitful economic mission abroad.
Dr Kaduru, who was visibly overwhelmed by the massive outpouring of love, goodwill and support from the crowd of party faithfuls, in his brief remarks expressed profound gratitude to them for abandoning
their pressing challenges and concerns, especially Sunday Church Service, to come and welcome him back home.
He applauded Governor Hope Uzodinma’s continous Prioritization of healthcare delivery, especially in the areas of primary healthcare delivery, and health insurance scheme, noting that he has made significant progress in the two areas.
He said the governor’s focus on making primary healthcare services accessible to the rural populace, through quality,
affordable and sustainable services, remains a testament to his leadership commitment to the promotion and protection of the welfare, wellbeing and security of citizens of the state.
He stressed that it was the governor’s unwavering commitment and passion for the transformation of the state’s healthcare system, that inspired him to start investing in the sector.
He pointed out that under his health policy he has already completed a world class primary healthcare centre for his Obiangwu Community,adding that he would soon handover the facility to the government.
The globally renown public health expert, who has contributed to the transformation of public health system in the country, and several other African countries, gave assurance that he was poised to extend his investment in primary healthcare services development,to other communities in Ngor Okpala, and the other local government areas in Owerri Zone.
He also disclosed his intention to not only continue to sustain his economic and human capital empowerment program, but also deepen and strengthen it, by taking it beyond the boundaries of Ngor Okpala Local Government Area.
While reiterating his heartfelt gratitude to the rapturous crowd of APC members for turning out en masse to welcome him back home, Dr Kaduru enjoined them to remain resolute and steadfast in their support for Governor Uzodinma, who he noted has significantly transformed the infrastructural and socioeconomic landscape of the state ,through his visionary leadership.
