Oby Onyenwe emerges Eziama Ancient Kingdom Women President
As group expresses gratitude to High Chief Kingsley Dikibo
Mrs. Oby Onyenwe, President of Oganihu Women Umumahi Okpala in Ngor Okpala Local Government Area, has emerged as the pioneer President/Coordinator of the Eziama Ancient Kingdom Women Association.
Mrs. Onyenwe, who also serves as Treasurer of Amaasaa Development Union Okpala (Women’s Wing), was elected alongside other executive members, including Mrs. Eunice Nwankwo as Board of Trustees (BOT) Chairperson, Mrs. Mgbechi Onyekachi as Secretary, Mrs. Prisca Ngozichukwu as Treasurer, Mrs. Patience Eke as Financial Secretary, and Mrs. Gift Eke as Public Relations Officer (PRO).
The Eziama Ancient Kingdom Women Association is a forum comprising women from the 23 villages and four autonomous communities of Eziama—Okpala, Uchulu, Uni Chukwu, and Eziama.
The association was inaugurated at the country home of Super High Chief Kingsley Dikibo. Its formation was inspired by Chief Dikibo’s desire to create a united platform through which women of Eziama and their children can have unhindered access to his humanitarian interventions and empowerment initiatives.
Speaking at the event, Chief Dikibo, Ebube Mba 1 of Amaasaa Eziama,Ikuku Ndu of Ogwuaga, assured the association of his continued support and urged the newly elected leadership to live up to expectations in the discharge of their responsibilities.
In her vote of thanks, Mrs. Onyenwe, who was visibly elated, expressed profound gratitude to Chief Dikibo for his generosity and assured the people of Eziama that her leadership would not fail in delivering on its mandate.
The highlight of the event was the donation of an SUV vehicle to the association by Chief Dikibo.
