In a statement issued on Monday by the State Publicity Secretary, Lancelot Obiaku, the Hon. Austin Nwachukwu-led State Working Committee (SWC) said the party welcomes the revised timetable and is fully prepared to prosecute the elections in line with constitutional and regulatory guidelines.

The party noted that its preparedness aligns with the directives of the National Caretaker Working Committee (NCWC), which it said is actively working to resolve all internal disputes and pending litigations ahead of the window for party primaries.

According to the statement, the leadership is confident that all outstanding issues will be “diligently pursued and conclusively resolved” well before the commencement of primary elections, ensuring a smooth and unified participation in the 2027 polls.

The Imo PDP further assured members and supporters that it stands firm and organized to meet all requirements within the stipulated timelines, expressing optimism about emerging victorious at the polls.

Preparations are also said to be in top gear for the party’s all-inclusive National Convention scheduled to hold in Abuja on March 28 and 29, 2026. The Imo delegation, the statement said, is enthusiastic and ready to participate in what it described as a crucial gathering expected to strengthen internal stability and reposition the party nationally.

The party urged intending aspirants to remain calm, focused, and steadfast while intensifying consultations and grassroots engagement in anticipation of further directives from the national leadership.

Reaffirming its commitment to the people of Imo State, the SWC pledged that the PDP would continue to provide credible opposition and offer reliable alternatives anchored on good governance, accountability, security, peace, and sustainable development.

Members, leaders, stakeholders, and supporters were equally called upon to remain loyal, redouble mobilization efforts at the grassroots, and prepare for what the party described as an important electioneering season ahead.
