Kaduru attends Obiangwu women August Meeting, recieves another grand reception after heroic chieftaincy title

On August 16, 2025, Chief Dr. Chijioke Kaduru Who was recently bestowed with the prestigious traditional title of “Nkwa Chi Kwere 1 of Obiangwu Autonomous Community” graced the 2025 annual August Meeting of Obiangwu Women, and was warmly received in a joyful and colorful manner by the enthusiastic crowd of women.
As a mark of honour to him, the women led by Mrs. Josephine Obilor, presented 104 kolanuts symbolizing the wards in Owerri Zone to the man of the people, and the Chief Converner of Nkwachikwere Community Development Movement and Nkwachikwere Foundation,the two fastest growing structures in the state at the moment.
Chief Dr. Kaduru expressed gratitude to the women for their warm reception and pledged to build a hall and secretariat for them.
He said their strong commitment and dedication to community development ,
partly inspired his decision to contribute to the development and progress of the community,and other communities in the LGA, and Owerri Zone.
The public health expert with global reputation and affiliations, enumerated some of efforts towards the development of the community to include, the construction and furnishing of a world class primary healthcare centre, award of scholarships and registration of students in public examinations like WAEC and NECO, and empowerment of indigenes of the community with funding and other resources to grow their businesses.
He further supported the Women’s August Meeting, with significant financial support, just as he promised to continue to support and partner them for the continued progress of the community.
The Director General of the Nkwa Chi Kwere Movement, and Gov Hope Uzodimma Liason Officer for Obiangwu/Ezemba Ward 10, Hon. Chukwuma Anuforo, also supported his principal with cash donation to the women, even as he hailed the significant roles they have been playing in the community’s developmental trajectory.
Filled with joy and gratitude, the women through their leader, Mrs Josephine Obilor expressed unalloyed support to Dr Kaduru in all his future public leadership ambition.
They also assured him that in addition to their own total support,they would akso use all resources available to them to galvanize and mobilize support of women in other communities in Ngor Okpala LGA, and Owerri Zone for him.
