Leaders of the All Progressive Congress, APC, in Ngor Okpala Local Government Area, have enjoined Governor Hope Uzodimma to call the Interim Management Committee Chairman of their Council, Hon. Chief Mayor Nweke to order over alleged high-handedness, sabotage, and abuse of office as enshrined in the constitutions of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
The leaders who made the call in a communique issued at the end of their meeting at Main Hotel, Amala, recently, also called on the Commissioner for Lands, Survey, and Physical Planning, Barr. Chief Enyinna Onuegbu, as a matter of urgency, convene a meeting where issues affecting the LGA will be discussed for the area to move forward.
The 12-point communique, signed by thirty-one APC leaders, dated January 5, 2021, and made available to our reporters, stated among others: that there should be a stop to the marginalization and segregation of members of our party who genuinely risked their lives during the election; that Chief Nweke is disrespecting and disregarding the leadership of the party in the LGA; that the IMC chairman, must henceforth stop running parallel party meetings and that APC, Ngor Okpala, has only one apex leader appointed by the governor himself and nothing has changed.
Others are; that the Interim Management Committee chairman has been running a divided and rule administration; that the finances accruable to the council have allegedly been manipulated and fleeced by the chairman and his cohort while the Commissioner for Lands, Survey and Physical Planning was enjoined to as soon as possible convene a meeting of the stakeholders of the party in the area.
They went on to express their profound gratitude to the governor for appointing their sons and daughter, especially Barr. Enyinna Onuegbu, Commissioner for Lands, Survey, and Physical Planning into his cabinet but pleaded with him to consider more of their own in future appointments.
