Ngor Okpala APC members decry marginalization

· Allege Uzodimma’s appointments favours one area

By Sunday Awulonu

Members of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in Ngor Okpala Local Government Area, have cried out over the alleged marginalization of the area by the Governor Hope Uzodimma -led administration and lack of leadership in the large local government.
Rising from a closed-door meeting, held at the weekend, they threatened to defect en masse to the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, if the marginalization is not corrected, and expose the atrocities committed by the present government in Ngor Okpala through their stooges.
They were emphatic that no government before now had so badly and shabbily treated Ngor Okpala this way, pointing out that they fared better under the administrations of Chief Udenwa through those of Chief Ohakim, Owelle Okorocha to Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, wondering if it was because of the governor’s preference of the CampHope faction over the mainstream APC.
Those who took part in the meeting, our source (who craved anonymity) revealed, were aggrieved that the few appointments made by the governor, including the Commissioner, the Interim Management Committee Chairman, one Special Adviser and two Senior Special Assistants were lopsided in favour of only Okpala court area, with only two wards of the five court areas in the Local Government Area, living nine wards with nothing a situation they said cannot be justified and never happened since the creation of Ngor Okpala LGA.
They were also bittered because the governor relegated the likes of Dr Toe Ekechi, and Sir George Eche to the background as a result of lies fed to him by the so-called CampHope faction, which has not made it possible for them to get what is due to Ngor Okpala from government, stressing that even the position of Special Adviser on Aviation given to someone from Ezinihitte Mbaise Local Government Area, should have been the prerogative of an Ngor Okpala person, as the host LGA of the airport.
Our source further revealed that most of the roads in the other court areas are in a terrible state of disrepair since they have no one to make a case for them, insinuating that the governor has deliberately been stifling the party, while empowering the members of his CampHope family, when indeed, they all worked hard for his victory and subsequent emergence as governor, adding that majority of CampHope people worked for Action Alliance, AA and Uche Nwosu.
It also disclosed that nearly one year since assuming office, non of the so-called leaders of the party who are in government has deemed it necessary to call for a meeting, at least, to encourage the members and let them keep hope alive, rather, they are busy fanning the embers of disunity.
