Be disciplined, law abiding, Chukwu advises Ehime Mbano Catholic youths


The Special Adviser to Imo State Governor on Project Monitoring, Okigwe Zone, Engr. Francis Chukwu has charged the youths of Ehime Mbano Deanery to remain disciplined and law-abiding in whatever they do.
He gave the charge during a solidarity visit to the youths at Umunumo in Ehime Mbano LGA of Imo State.
Engr. Chukwu admonished the youths to be committed to last peace in the pursuit of their life endeavours, adding that no meaningful achievement can be recorded in an atmosphere that lacks peace.
The governor’s aide used the forum to assure the youths of his readiness to partner with them in their programmes with a view to bringing about development in Ehime Mbano, Okigwe Zone and Imo State in general.
Also speaking, the Assistant Parish Priest of St. Charles Catholic Parish Ibeafor Umunumo, Rev. Fr. Peter Okolie who accompanied the SA to the Governor on the occasion, praised Hon. Engr. Chukwu for his humility and thoughtfulness that made him identify with the youths and urged him to sustain such spirit of solidarity.
Delivering the vote of thanks, the President of the Catholic Youth Group, Comrade Bede Odemenam, expressed appreciation to the government official for deeming it necessary to pay them a visit in the manner he did.
While noting that that was the first time a government official of Ehime Mbano extraction was identifying with them in such a way, the Catholic Youth Leader pledged their support and preparedness to partner Engr. Chukwu, in whatever aspect he needs them for the progress of society.
The event which featured collective prayers by the youths for Engr. Chukwu also saw the governor’s aide making a donation of a token towards supporting the feeding of youths during their annual youth rally.
