Insecurity: Biaduo reads the riot act to traditional rulers

By Kenneth Uwasomba

The Special Adviser to Governor Hope Uzodiomma on Urban Water Supply, Hon. Oliver Tanana Biaduo, has warned that any traditional ruler in Aboh Mbaise Local Government Area, who fails to attend the next or subsequent stakeholders/security meetings would be termed a saboteur to the government of the day, and would be so treated.

Hon. Biaduo, who gave the warning penultimate Saturday, during a stakeholders meeting convened at the council headquarters, Aboh, by the Interim Management Committee Chairman, Barr. Emma Njoku, expressed bitterness at the low turn out of traditional rulers at the meeting, which was aimed at addressing the security challenges in the local government area.

According to him: “It is very wrong and unacceptable for a traditional ruler as the Chief Security Officer of his autonomous community to shun such a security meeting.

“What it implies is that such a traditional ruler is not on the same page with this administration in its efforts to secure the lives and property of Imolites.

“We shall make recommendations for the dethronement of any defaulting traditional ruler to the governor. The state and indeed, the nation is going through serious security challenges and we won’t fold our hands and allow anyone to sabotage our efforts.”

The Special Adviser restated the government’s determination and commitment to adding value to the lives of Imolites, pointing out that arrangement is on top gear to bring clean potable water to every home.

He called on Aboh Mbaise people to continue to support the governor in his developmental strides as he did not malign them appointing their sons and daughters into strategic positions in his government.
