Offonze condemns killing of Nigerian youths, frown at tribal sentiments

The traditional ruler of Isiokpo Autonomous Community, His Royal Highness, Eze Dr R. A. Offonze Jp, KSM, Ezedike II of Isiokpo Ancient Kingdom, in Ideato North LGA Imo state, has condemned the killing of Nigeria youths over a peaceful protest.

Eze Offonze who is a Patron of Orlu Zurume Youth sympathizes with Nigerian youths over the ugly incident and also urge the federal government to look into the issues raised by the youths and act on them urgently.

The monarch who stated that the youths have the constitutional right of peaceful protest and freedom of expression has urged the federal government to do justice to the victims of the ENDSARS protest killings.

He commended both federal and state government for their urgent intervention into the matter and for relaxing the 24hours curfew pointing out, that the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic lock-down are still hitting hard on the masses.

Offonze condoles with the families that lost their loved ones during this period and urged the federal government to handle the situation courteously and urgently to foster peace and unity in the country.

He also frowned at those making utterances on tribal sentiments that can cause more problems to the corporate and peaceful co-existence of our beloved country.

He, therefore, urge people to desist from unguided statements that will bring disunity and also urge his fellow traditional rulers in the country to join hands with the government to see that peace is restored completely in the entire country.
