Owerri West roads need urgent attention says Obieze-Amadi

Obieze Amadi

The chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Owerri West LGA, Chief Charles Obieze Amadi has called on the state government to, as a matter of urgency, intervene in the rehabilitation of roads in the LGA so as to make it easier for economic activities in the now urban LGA which also is home to many companies and government establishments.
Speaking to our reporter on October 2 in Irete, the outspoken party leader lamented the state of the road linking Irete, Ndegwu, Amakohia- Ubi, all in Owerri west LGA.
According to the APC leader, though Governor Hope Uzodimma has done well since coming on board as governor, more effort is needed on roads rehabilitation, in line with the 3R mantra of his government.
Chief Amadi decried the poor state of infrastructure inherited by Governor Uzodimma from Okorocha which, according to him, is a huge challenge to the present administration, just like the distractions posed by the litigations against the governor.
On Owerri West politics, the APC chairman described himself as a progressive, a grassroots politician and one who believes in succession.
He maintained that the young ones should be groomed to lead, adding that nothing is permanent.
Chief Amadi also called on people of Owerri West to develop the spirit of succession.
He thanked Governor Uzodimma for carrying Owerri West along, saying that his people had benefited from government palliative like other LGAs, ambulance, etc.
The APC chairman insisted that he would continue to be against all forms of injustice, irrespective of who is involved.
