Chimee

Nigerians to keep faith as the country has achieved a lot since independence.
This is contained in his message at the nation’s 60th Independence Anniversary.
He stated that contrary to the claims that Nigeria has nothing to celebrate at 60years, as an independent nation, he noted that the country has made appreciable achievements, especially in the areas of road construction, education and human capital development, adding that those who hold contrary views are being economical with the truth.
Elder Chimee noted that the country has men and women of goodwill who are ready to contribute their quota to the growth of the country, even as he called on the youths to eschew social vices and other acts capable of destroying their future and join hands to build the nation
He harped on youth participation in governance and emphasized on the youths to engage in constructive criticisms aimed at reminding those entrusted with power, the need to deliver dividends of democracy to the people.
The APC Chieftain further called on Nigerian leaders to ensure that they use this year Independence Anniversary to reflect on the progress recorded in the country so far, and equally, think of how to improve on it.
He commended Governor Hope Uzodimma for his efforts in building Imo State to greater heights and enjoined Imolites who are yet to key into the 3R mantra of the government to do so without hesitation.
