Ex- NFF Vice President congratulates SWAN for peaceful election

The former vice president of Nigeria Football Federation, Mazi Amanze Uchegbulam has congratulated the Imo State chapter of Sports Writers Association of Nigeria for conducting a hitch-free election that produced the new executives that would pilot the affairs of the association for another 3 years.
The Imo State Chairman of Football Association FA said this when members of the association paid him a courtesy visit in his office at Dan Anyiam Sports Stadium, Owerri.
He assured the readiness of FA to continue to partner with the association to ensure that synergy and working relationship with the two associations are maintained.
The FA boss spoke on the proposed FIFA House in Imo State, noting that the house has the capacity to accommodate relevant and football bodies.
He said that the house which is established free of charge for football and affiliate bodies will as well accommodate SWAN members, Coaches, and other football families in the state.
According to him, the FIFA house is capable of attracting a lot of gains to the people of the state.
He said that already the immediate past Governor Emeka Ihedioha’s led administration has already approved and allocated land for the project in the state, and assured that effort is currently been made to reach out to the present administration so that the project would commence.
Speaking on the crisis rocking Heartland FC, he denied knowledge of any crisis adding that nothing has actually changed in the club.
Uchegbulam said that FA does not function by rumour rather by the document as inscribed in the FA Constitution.
He declared that FA cannot interfere in the Heartland FC matter because of its position adding that government has the power appoint whoever to man the affairs of the club but must follow the due process to inform the FA.
While appealing to government to do the needful to ensure that Heartland FC is not delisted in the NPFL season set to kick off.
On registration and licensing of Heartland Fc, the sport administrator assured that there is no course for panic yet for the club.
In his speech earlier, the chairman of SWAN Imo State Chapter, Comrade Everest Ezihe informed the FA boss that they are in his office to among other things intimate him about the outcome of their election held in FA office.
He thanked the FA boss for the show of love to the union especially by allowing them to use their office for the conduct of their election.
