CPC DG charges BC on quality, social responsibilities

The Director-General of the Consumer Protection Council (CPC), Imo state, Mrs Obioma Okafor has called on the Nigeria Bottling Company (NBC) who are the producers of soft drinks such as Cocacola not to relent in maintaining the high standard of products for which they are known for. She called on continued improved social responsibility.
Mrs Okafor made this call on Wednesday, September 16, 2020, during a working visit to the Coca-Cola Bottling Company, along Onitsha road, Owerri.
The Director-General used the opportunity to charge the management of the Coca-Cola Bottling Company to ensure their name is inscribed in gold by supporting the shared prosperity administration of Governor Hope Uzodimma through engaging in social responsibilities.
Informing that Governor Uzodimma had re-positioned the Imo CPC for effective mandate delivery, Mrs Okafor urged the management to Partner with the CPC in the ongoing fight against fake and adulterated products prevalent in the markets, stressing that Governor Uzodimma had made quality his watchword and that CPC under her watch would never compromise.
She called on the company to always support the present administration in the effort to move the state forward.
The management team of the company led by the plant manager, Mr OrakaOlisa thanked the CPC Director-General for the visit and promised to partner with the agency and the government in their endeavours.
Present at the meeting were Mr OrakaOlisa (plant manager), Mr Godwin Azugo (Process Control Manager), Jane Ike (Food Safety Manager) and IwuamadiChinaedu (Lab Technician)
