Coalition of Nigerian youths honour Uzodimma

Governor Hope Uzodimma

In recognition of his belief in one Nigeria, promotion of national unity and peaceful co-existence among different ethnic groups in Imo State as well as his efforts in bridge-building, Governor Hope Uzodimma has been conferred with national honour as Pan-Nigeria Governor of the year.
Confirming the award on him, the Coalition of National Ethnic Youth Leaders of Nigeria commended the governor on his efforts in maintaining peace between herdsmen and some communities.
Receiving the award at the EXCO Chamber, Government House, Owerri, Governor Uzodimma lauded the group for what he described as a wonderful initiative by the youths of Nigeria to promote one Nigeria through the forming of a coalition comprising leaders of different ethnic groups.
The Governor advocated the need for Nigerians to forgive the mistakes and injuries of the past and promote the future of a united Nigeria, stressing that despite the nation’s huge diversity, it could be harnessed to promote one Nigeria.
Uzodimma underscored the importance of placing premium on youth development and properly-getting them engaged to ensure that the future and unity of the nation are guaranteed.
He further enjoined the youths of Nigeria to encourage and support the nation’s leadership, and make their own useful contributions towards national growth and development.
The group include Arewa, Afenifere, Ohaneze among others
