The Abia State secretary of APGA Hon Onukwubiri Sunday has said that Abia State at 29 years has celebrated sycophancy and looting.
Onukwubiri who made the statement in Umuahia while assessing the state since 29 years of its creation noted that Abia State has nothing to celebrate, “how many durable roads have we, except Aba -Umuahia road, let them tell us where else, look at Ururuka that passed through Okezie’s gate is in bad shape. Okezie would have dualized the road, are we celebrating good education structure, good civil service, pensioner that are not pay, are we celebrating growth of massive sycophancy? I wonder why government will continue paying people at their radio station who are doing nothing than carrying propaganda, people who are ready to attack you when you criticize government constructively, we should only celebrate his survival from COVID-19 because his not PDP governor, he is for all of us, we thank God that he is well.”
On the defection of Chief Alex Otti to APC, Hon Sunday said, “Otti is not a serious party man, his defection is of no effect before he left us, we suspended him because of anti-party activities on 15th July, 2019. He was supporting leftist National Leadership led by one Hon. Njoku who claimed to be national chairman of the party, He decided to run his elections with his Abia First; a non-political party that was why he failed. He didn’t finance the party. Tell me where Abia First is, in the whole 17 local government areas of the state.”
On whether Chief Otti will achieve his guber intension in APC, Hon. Sunday noted, “did he hear what Orji Uzor Kalu said he has joined the party like any other person as far as I am concerned, he is not going to be governor, we are celebrating his exist. Since we suspended him there is peace in our party. He has been romancing with APC for long, we knew the day somebody went to Isiala Ngwa South and collected membership card from his ward Ehie Na Uguru.”
On whether the party have been repositioned for 2023, the APGA scribe explained that, “apart from issue of COVID-19, it is too early to say that we have repositioned the party. We have to start at a time even if we have saboteurs, they can’t disclose your secrets, it is a contest between APGA and APC but noted that APGA has the grassroot at any time.”
