Kalu to partner with Abia State Correspondents’ Chapel

Former Governor of Abia State, Senator Orji Uzor Kalu has expressed willingness to partner with the Correspondents’ Chapel Abia State to highlight his achievements in his constituency Abia North.
Senator Kalu who spoke to journalists in Umuahia through his legislative aid Barr. Victor Etie noted that no meaningful progress would be achieved without the media adding that Abia North has become a construction site with more than 19 road projects going on simultaneously within the constituency. Some of the projects includes Ohafia, Itumbauzo, Uzuakoli, Nkpa and Abam among others besides massive rural electrification at Bende, Mkpa, Ntalakwu and environs.
Senator Kalu noted that he has been able to attract the presence of Federal Ministry of Works during this period of COVID-19 to embark on installation of public conveniences, provision of portable drinking water and sanitization equipment among others to Abia North.
He promised to organise a monthly media interaction to update the public on what they have done and what they intend to do beside OUK monthly lecture which will be all encompassing.
On criteria for siting projects in his constituency, Senator Kalu noted that projects are cited devoid of political considerations, citing Arochukwu as an example where many projects are ongoing which is the home of his major challenger.
He further thanked the media for the role they played during his incarceration and promised to assist whenever called on.
