Governor Uzodimma of Imo State has told the newly certified traditional rulers that the only way to overcome those who opposed them is by rendering unlimited services to them.
Governor Uzodimma told them this while issuing Staff of Office and Certificate of Recognition to them at the Exco-chambers over the weekend.
He enjoined them to see there new positions as calls to service, and not to use it against their enemies but to work in harmony with their subjects towards realizing a conducive and productive communities devoid of criminality but surrounded by youths with great potentials who can stand the test of time in their various communities.
The governor charged them not to be selfish and self-centered but to work with their people for the growth and development of their communities.
The newly created Autonomous Communities and their Ezes are: Eziama Autonomous Community in Isiala Mbano LGA – Dr. Sir. I. I Anyadiegwu, Opiaegbe Autonomous Community in Nkwerre LGA -Dr. Geoffrey Anusionwu (Ezeamama of Nkwere), and Nnana ano Autonomous Community in Nkwere LGA- Chief Ngozi Anyaehie, (Eze ime enyi of Nnana ano).
In their individual responses, the three traditional rulers promised to leave up to expectations by doing those things which will promote peace and tranquility in their various communities.
They pledged to build a more strong and economically viable communities and thanked the governor for making their dreams come true.
In his brief remarks, the Secretary to the State Government, Chief Cosmus Iwu said the traditional rulers are men of proven integrity who has passed the screening of the legislative and security agents.
