Imo State Government embarks on capacity building

The government of Imo State has conducted a 3-day capacity building workshop for appointees and top government functionaries at the Ahianjoku Convention Center, Owerri, the state capital,
The capacity building/training was on administrative procedures, practices and service delivery.
Speaking to newsmen on the capacity building training, the Chief Press Secretary and Media adviser to governor Hope Uzodimma, Hon. Oguwuike Nwachuku said that it was a consolidation on the working relationship between the workforce and the government whose obligation is to deliver quality service to the people.
Mr. Oguwuike who expressed gratitude and optimism over the exercise stated that the participants would at the end of the programme be totally empowered knowledge-wise and expressed hope that the capacity building will create a huge impact on all the sectors of the state in terms of administrative jobs and by so doing, enable the leaders achieve the target of the 3R oriented programmes of Uzodimma’s administration anchored on Rehabilitation, Reconstruction and Recovery.
In her remarks, one of the participant, the Senior Special Assistant to the governor on Community Relations, Orlu Zone, Hon. Ngozi Ihemdi accepted that the training would go along way to changing the operational mode of both the political office holders and top government functionaries towards realizing the set target of the present administration.
The SSA on Community Relations, Orlu zone thanked governor Uzodimma for organizing such a gigantic training workshop which included lectures, plenary sessions and seminars presented by resource persons.
