Imo State government has stated her readiness to decongest the popular Ama Hausa to make the place conducive both for business and healthy living
Commissioner for Land Survey and Fisical Planning, Barr. Enyinaya Onuegbu disclosed this when he paid Sallah visit to the Northern Community and Muslim Traditional Ruler Alhaji Auwalu Said Baba Sulaiman in his palace on behalf of Governor of Imo State Dist. Sen. Hope Uzodimma
The commissioner who used the ceremony to facilitate with the Muslim and Hausa Community in the state assured government’s commitment to ensure easy settlement of the Hausa Community in the state
While thanking Almighty Allah for seeing the Muslim Community through in this year’s celebration, he assured them a continous protection and care from government devoid of discrimination
He commended them for living together in peace and for maintaining cordial relationship and cooperation with their host communities in the state
Onuegbu enjoined them to continue in the way and manner to build strong synergy that would usually enthrone sanity within their area.
Welcoming the Governor representative to his palace, the Northern Community and Muslim Traditional Ruler Alhaji Auwalu Saidu Baba Sulaiman commended the Governor for all his assistance and support to the Northern Community since his energence as Governor of the State
The Monarch paid special tribute to the Governor for appointing three SSAs as Northern representatives in his government, describing it as the first time the community is having such opportunity of representation
Alhaji Baba Sulaiman said that the governor equally supported the Northern Community both during the COVID-19 pandemic, and the Sallah celebration
He said that the Governor even extended his kind jesture to the Muslims in the Army, NSCDC, Police and other security outfit in the state, a development he described as wonderful and encouraging.
The Sarkin Hausa used the forum to inform the Governor that his palace has been palace for all tribes both for the Hausa, Yoruba and Igbo as the case may be adding that certain cases involving one tribe and another has been settled amicably in the place to ensure peace in the land.
Sulaiman commended the Governor for doing well especially in the areas of urban development while expressing hope that Sen. Hope Uzodimma would be the best Governor of Imo State
