Chartered Institute of administration, visits Oru-West Council IMC chairman


The Oru-West Council IMC Chairman/Imo State ALGON Chairman, Administrator (Hon) Willie T. C. Okolieogwo (Ome Ka Odi Nma N’Oru) has submitted that, incisive elements of Administration cannot be fully actualized and inculcated intoto in all spheres of human activities, without the inputs and involvement of Professional Administrators, even as he strongly posited that there must be glaring Lacuna , where the DAGS (Directors of Administration And General Services) in the Local Government System, are not members of Chartered Institute of Administration. He promised that the Shared Prosperity Government of the day, will avail the institute all the requisite nerves and logistics to galvanize for the necessary support to excel.
Okolieogwo stated these Friday, 17th July 2020, in his office at Mgbidi, when he hosted the senate members of Owerri District of the Chartered Institute of Administration, led by their Chairman, Administrator (Professor) Samuel Nzotta, who were on a solidarity visit to him.
While appreciating the institute’s senate members’ visit as wonderful and heartwarming, Okolieogwo revealed, that Governor Hope Odidika Uzodinma (Onwa Imo) recognizes the high premium rating and importance of incorporating Astute Administrators in his Shared Prosperity government’s template, who can anchor with digital precision, the day to day smooth flow of activities, hence by extension, that was instrumental to his double appointments with focal point as the IMC Chairman of Oru- West LGA in addition to being the State ALGON Chairman.
The ALGON chairman pledges to factor the activities of the Institute into the policies and programs of the incumbent government, even as he promised to utilize his position as State ALGON Chairman towards mobilization and inculcating into his colleagues- the 26 IMC LGAs Chairmen, the ideals of the body to enhance their identifying with the Institute, so as to embrace the Institute’s programs, which invariably will expand the Institute’s outreach in Imo State and beyond.
Administrator Okolieogwo eulogized Professor Samuel Nzotta describing him as an Astute Administrator who parades unparalleled leadership experiences as the Institute’s Chairman in Imo State.
Earlier, Administrator (Professor) Samuel Nzotta informed the audience that Administrator Okolieogwo is their noble member and that they came with extreme delight on a solidarity visit to one of their renowned member of Chartered Institute of Administration, Owerri District, who recently got meritoriously, two (2) well deserved appointments as IMC Chairman of Oru-West Council and State ALGON Chairman from Governor Hope Uzodimma.
Administrator (Professor) Nzotta affirmed that professional administrators play vital roles in governance. He lamented the dearth of astute administrators in global governance currently, which constitutes by extension to the bane of the society. He brought to bare the presence of Chartered Institute of Administration now in Imo State and craved the indulgence of those at the corridors of power, for their incorporation into Imo State governance He further affirmed their readiness to partner with all the three(3) tiers of governments in Nigeria, so that they could hit their predetermined set goals in government.
Nzotta outlined litany of activities the Institute intends to flair viz Administrators’ Day, Comments, et cetera, and expressed optimism, that Administrator (Hon) Okolieogwo will grace the forthcoming ceremony.
He appealed to Administrator Okolieogwo, to put into daily practice, his wealth of administrative expertise, so as to drive Oru-West LGA to an enviable height in the comity of local government administrations.
In her Speech, Administrator Ann Okeh posited that the practice of administration without being a member of the Chartered Institute of Administration, is illegal and fraudulent. She advocated that Administrator (Hon) Willie Okolieogwo utilizes his position as State ALGON Chairman, to lure other 26 IMC LGAs Chairmen, to register and belong to the body. She indicated their members’ interest to be accommodated in the Shared Prosperity government of Governor Uzodimma as administrative appointees, describing Administrator Okolieogwo as a worthy one of their Institute.
In his vote of thanks, administrator (Pastor) Jinga James extended the warmest regards of the entire members of the Chartered Institute of Administration, Owerri District ,to Administrator Willie T.C. Okolieogwo, even as he was highly elated at what he tagged the privileged heartfelt reception administrator Okolieogwo accorded them, despite the short notice given to him of their visit. He observed that Administrator Okolieogwo has extensively distinguished himself from the rest of the appointed 26 IMC LGAs Chairmen, which demonstrated that Professional Administrators lead, others follow in governance. He expressed profound appreciation to His Excellency Governor Hope Uzodimma for these 2 appointments and Prayed to God to shower His infinite Blessings on Administrator Willie T. C. Okolieogwo and Governor Hope Uzodinma to enable them excel.
Many dignitaries graced the occasion including Special Advisers to Oru-West Council Chairman, Staff of the Council and Oru-West Orientation Officer, Chief Charles Madueke.
