The Director of Operations, Imo ENTRACO, Sir Lawrence has express satisfaction at the level of compliance and cooperation exhibited by Imolites in the last sanitation exercise carried out on Saturday, June 27th.He described the exercise as orderly and peaceful.
Addressing newsmen shortly after the environmental sanitation, Lawrence applauded ENTRACO staff for adhering to the rules of their engagements during the exercise, just as he scored them very high in their overall performance. He further stated that the knowledge they acquired in numerous seminars they attended played a significant role in enhancing their performance positively.
He debunked the allegation of ENTRACO staff or tax force extorting money from people during environmental exercise, describing it as untrue and fallacious. “Any defaulter must be taken to State Mobile Court which was constituted by the State Government.
“The accusation of our staff or task force extorting money from defaulters was untrue, it is fallacious because our staff and task force are well trained and understands our modus operandi. They also understand the consequences of such unethical act,” he stated.
The ENTRACO DO commended the Governor for his unassuming support and belief in a clean cum conducive society. He extolled the initiative of the environmental sanitation holding monthly, describing the governor’s inputs towards its success as outstanding and worthy of emulation. He enjoined Imolites to reciprocate by keeping their environment clean always, as a clean environment, is a healthy environment.
He also thanked the General Manager of ENTRACO, Hon Macdonald Ebere for being indefatigable, exemplary, outstanding and a role model in all the activities of the agency, noting that since his assumption of office as ENTRACO Chair, Imo is wearing a new look.
Lawrence, in his magnanimity, pleaded for pardon on behalf of some defaulters who couldn’t pay the penalty, because of the COVID-19 pandemic negatively affecting everyone financially and otherwise.
