The Interim Management Committee Chairman (IMC) of Oru West Local Government, Hon. Willie Okolieogwo has extolled the governor, Sen. Hope Uzodimma for restoring good governance in the state. He stated this while fielding questions with newsmen in Owerri.

The ALGON Chairman stated that despite the fact that Governor Uzodinma met the state in a terrible state and no thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic, he has hit the ground running especially in the area of good governance and delivering of the dividends of democracy to Imolites.

Okolieogwo pointed out  that the quality of roads and drainage  being constructed  in areas like World Bank, Shoprite, Mgbidi/Orlu etc are clear indications that the governor is working round the clock to deliver quality roads to Imolites. This is notwithstanding the challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic.  He assured Imolites to keep faith with the governor as he is certain the governor has the capacity, determination, experience, hunger and passion to restore the lost glory of Imo.

On the increasing number of  COVID-19 patients in the state , Okolieogwo explained that such increase was natural since there are more tests carried out as well as contact tracing. However ,he called on  Imolites never to panic as the governor in his wisdom, and proactiveness has set up  a reliable  state COVID-19 task force headed by Prof. Maurice Iwu  who is  determined and working  assiduously to make Imo a COVID-19 free state. Moreso, the governor is working very hard to contain the COVID-19 pandemic to the bearest minimum. Okolieogwo assured Imolites that in a few months from now when other life tranforming programmes of Governor Uzodimma will be rolled out ,Imo people will realized that God has sent the governor on a mission of liberation from bad governance.
