APGA Chieftain Oguzie commends Uzodimma on performance

Popular Isu LGA APGA House of Assembly aspirant in the 2019 general election, Hon. Chris Oguzie has commended Governor Hope Uzodinma’s performance since assumption of office in January, saying that some key moves by the governor prove that he was actually prepared to be governor of the state with the necessary courage to drive the ship of Imo to the promised land. Hon Chris Oguzie spoke to our reporter last Monday in his home town of Ekwe in Isu LGA. He observed that Governor Uzodinma’s courage in abrogating the law on life pension for former governors, deputy governors and House of Assembly Speakers, mark him out as a leader with a difference. The youthful businessman who has impacted so much in the lives of Isu people noted that the governor did not consider even himself as a would-be beneficiary of the “fraudulent” pension scheme for these past leaders, some of whom have continued as senators and appointees in various capacities, but thought of what was in the best interest of Imolites. Oguzie urged everyone to be fair enough to commend Governor Uzodinma on many of his landmark achievements and not allow politics in their sense of judgement, adding that with elections over and all issues surrounding them now settled, it would  be best for everyone to help the governor to succeed, offer constructive criticisms and commend him where necessary. He also noted that quite unlike other governors, Uzodinma had continued with the infrastructural developments embarked upon by his predecessor, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha. Hon. Oguzie used the opportunity to call on the governor to remain focused on the task of delivering democracy dividends to Imolites and not allow himself to be distracted by praise singers or detractors.
