Commissioner accuses appointees of de-marketing Gov. Uzodinma

Hope Uzodinma

A commissioner in the present administration of Governor Hope Uzodinma (name withheld) has lambasted his fellow appointees for de-marketing the governor through unguarded statements and acts capable of portraying the governor negatively in the minds of the public.

The Commissioner who claimed not being a politician but rather a technocrat made this observation last week while interacting with our reporter in his office.

He wondered why many appointees could enjoy sycophancy which he described as reason behind their efforts to please the governor, but in the process end up de-marketing him.

The commissioner said it had become necessary for Information Commissioner, Mr. Declan Emelumba to organize a workshop on press relations for all government appointees to educate them on how to speak in public as government officials.      He also lamented that some of the appointees speak negatively of the governor in private whereas in public they praise him, describing this as an act capable of destroying the governor and his administration.
