The Speaker Imo state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Chiji Collins, Saturday in Owerri declared that he is fully committed to the development of Imo state, and would devote all his time and energy to promoting it for the benefit of Imo citizens.
This is even as he described the Imo state governor, Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodinma, as an agent of development in view of infrastructural transformation going on in the State.
Speaking to newsmen in Owerri, Saturday, Speaker Chiji Collins insisted that underdeveloped states like Imo state needed smart governors like Governor Uzodinma who could think outside the box to solve problems facing the state.
Speaker Chiji Collins said: “Building a viable and developed state has a lot to do with development of infrastructure and human capacity management, and as the Speaker of the state Assembly, i will support every initiative aimed at developing the infrastructural and economic potentials of our state.”
He expressed delight with the Executive and the judiciary, as well as the media for their strong support for his administration. He appealed for better understanding of the workings of the legislature, in order to engender a healthier relationship among the people, while fortifying and strengthening the development of the state.
