Gender Commissioner collaborates with Engr Ben Ekekwe, donate palliatives to Ntueke ward in Ideato South LGA

It was all joy and harvest of appreciation on Monday, 18 May 2020 in Ntueke Ward of Ideato South Local Government Area of Imo State as the Commissioner for Gender and Vulnerable Group Hon. Lady Nkechinyere Ugwu collaborated with another illustrious son, Engr Ben Ekekwe to donate palliatives to the community.

Speaking during donation of the palliatives, the Gender Commissioner disclosed that it was to help cushion effect of the COVID-19 occasioned lockdown on members of the community, especially the less privileged ones.

She used the opportunity to remind and advise them to adhere strictly to all directives from the state government on measures to prevent the spread of the virus.

Reacting an obviously elated members of the community who are beneficiaries of the largesse showered encomiums and prayers on the donors, Engr. Ekekwe and the Honorable commissioner who they described as humanitarians, philanthropists and prayed God to continue to prosper and lift them higher. They used the opportunity to appreciate the Governor of Imo State, Senator Hope Uzodinma for considering their daughter worthy for the exalted position of Commissioner and promised their continued support and unalloyed loyalty to the state government.
