Ngor Okpala appointees take Uzodinma’s ‘shared prosperity mantra’ to grassroot

Imo government appointees in Ngor Okpala Local Government, have called on the people of the area to support Gov. Hope Uzodinma’s administration whose slogan is ‘shared prosperity mantra’, insisting that he (Uzodinma) appreciates loyalty and commitment.

Addressing representatives of the eleven wards in Ngor Okpala, shortly after swearing in members of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) at the council headquarters, Umuneke last week Thursday, April 9, the Commissioner for Lands, Survey and Urban Development, Barr. Enyinna Onuegbu disclosed that Ngor Okpala people will ever remain grateful to Gov. Uzodinma for appointing sons and wife of Ngor Okpala extraction into his cabinet, adding that the present administration will favour the people of the area as well as the entire Imolites. He thus urged them to remain committed and believe in the shared prosperity mantra’.

Barr. Onuegbu advised the IMC members to see themselves as ambassadors of the present administration, just as he emphasized on the need for them to represent the interest of their wards above their personal interest while discharging their duties.

He further stated, “I want to authoritatively state that the appointees of Ngor Okpala extraction was not influenced by any money bag politician or any self acclaimed leader. Our friendly and humble governor, H/E Dist. Sen Hope Uzodinma is always in touch with his core loyalists and appreciates their contributions as long as such contributions will benefit the masses.”

Also speaking Special Adviser to the Governor, Okenze Blyden Amajirionwu and Mrs Chika Ibekwe, who described Governor Uzodinma as a leader with a human heart, appealed to Ngor Okpala people to support his policies, and assured they will benefit from the present administration more than they did in the previous governments in the state. Earlier, the IMC chairman of the LGA, Mayor Nweke in his speech urged the IMC members to be committed and proactive in discharging their duties.
